YWCA and the Lismore Women’s Festival are proud to welcome the bold and brassy Bev Killick with a top line-up of Australian women!

Bev Killick is from the bold and brassy school of stand up, delivering a non-stop energetic set every time. As soon as she blast’s her way on stage, you know you’re in for a treat. Bev is likeable, bawdy and real. Bev has worked with Weird Al Yankovic, Wayne Brady, Gina Riley and Jane Turner as a guest cameo on Kath and Kim. She was a panel member on Beauty and the Beast, featured comic on Stand Up Australia, a special guest on the hit show Pizza, married her Lighting Guy on Surprise Wedding, beat the blokes on Joker Poker, performed three solo shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (Sic Women earned her a Green Room Award Nomination), was selected to perform in the prestigious female only “Up Front” gala and this year makes her Melbourne Comedy Festival Road Show debut.

Ting Lim

Bursting onto the scene in 2009, Singaporean bornTing Lim was handpicked to represent Queensland in the prestigious RAW national comedy finals. Her momentum never faltered and she, once again, represented her home state in the coveted “Green Faces” national competition in the same year. She quickly became a regular at the Sit Down Comedy Club and has performed all over Australia and Singapore, supporting the likes of Jimeoin, Matt Okine and more.

Ting had a string of successful shows in the Melbourne Comedy Festival as well as the Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney Fringe Festivals. Following her success, Ting was part of the line up of the illustrious “Laugh your Pants Off” gala twice, alongside Rove McManus, Tommy Little, Frank Woodley and Claire Hooper.

Mel Buttle

Mel is a hilarious bundle of contradictions, and is rapidly making herself felt in all mediums across the country. In 2010, Mel was the talk of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, scoring a nomination for Best Newcomer. Mel has continued her comedic journey, supporting the likes of Wil Anderson, Steven K Amos, Aziz Ansari and Josh Thomas in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow.

Mel is a sought after writer and a weekly columnist in The Courier Mail She has written for ABC’s Ronny Cheing International Student, The Drum, ABC3’s You’re Skitting Me, Please Like Me and has been a fulltime writer on Network Ten’s This Week Live. It doesn’t stop there, Mel’s radio experience includes Mel’s strongly worded Letters regular segment on Triple J’s Breakfast with Tom & Alex.

Mel has had appearances on Ten’s The Project, a weekly guest on This Week Live, ABC TV’s Tractor Monkeys, Back Seat Drivers and The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, as well as co-hosting The Great Australian Bake!
