Dance On, is well known to dancers and lovers of classic 50’s and 60’s rock n roll music. . For over 12 years the band has been popular on the Gold Coast and the surrounding areas.
Members of the 4 piece band, are often asked “when will you be playing at a club near where we live”? Club managers agree the numbers of patrons increases to an incredible degree when Dance On is on their agenda.
Dance On band members are professional musicians who were part of the sixties’ music scene in Australia. They are all residents of the Gold Coast, but have well established careers all over Australia.
The band plays music that appeals to all age groups. Patrons are happy to enjoy the music, whether they are dancing or just sitting and tapping their toes.
Lead singer Colin Cooper is recognized as being the man in the black hat. Following a career in the clubs of NSW which started when he was a teenager on the legendary “Bandstand” in Sydney with Brian Henderson, Colin recalls “Bandstand’s New Faces of 1963 when he appeared with the Bee Gees. Colin also joined Pee Wee Wilson from the
“Delltones” to perform “Mr Bass Man “ for the first time on Australian TV.

Steve Willington , affectionately known as “The Captain”, brings a whole new meaning to a “drum roll”.
Peter Johnson plays lead guitar. His renditions of the “Shadows” instrumentals are music to the ears. A seasoned performer, Peter’s versatility is the key to his lengthy career.
Brent Lillie is a multi talented professional musician and singer. He has won numerous awards for his song writing and his versatility extends to various instruments including keyboards, rhythm guitar and bass.
