Combined Concert Band Day

Combined Concert Band Day: Sunday, September 24th, at the Lismore Workers Club.

This event celebrates the importance of Concert Bands in the Northern Rivers’ community.  It is an opportunity for local bands share their music, perform repertoire favourites and join forces to rehearse and perform as a large ensemble. Individual woodwind, bass and percussion players are also invited to join in for the day.

A workshop will be held in the morning from 10.30am – 1.30pm. Following a break for lunch, the combined bands will perform in concert from 2.00 to 3.00pm.

Concert bands have a long history of performance in the Northern Rivers area and are part of the community fabric of our towns and cities. The Lismore City Concert Band, as the event host, is proud of its long history in Lismore spanning over 30 years. Under the baton of Mr Ben van Kleef, the Band performs regularly at local events including Anzac Day, Australia day, the Lantern Parade, Lismore Show and performances at the Band Rotunda in Spinks Park.

The event is proudly supported by the Lismore Workers Group of Clubs.
